Network and Cabling Inspections

Network and Cabling Inspections

Network Inspections & Connectivity Testing

Slow internet, unreliable connections, dropped calls, buffering video, and glitchy Wi-Fi aren’t always caused by your internet provider. A lot of times, the real problem is inside the building — damaged cables, bad terminations, poor patching, overloaded switches, or weak Wi-Fi coverage.

At Harbros Solutions, we provide professional network inspections to locate issues in your cabling and network infrastructure and confirm that your system is delivering the speed and performance you’re paying for. Whether you’re running a small office or a large facility, we’ll help ensure your network is operating at full capability from the switch all the way to the end user.

What We Inspect & Test

We can inspect and verify performance on:

  • Ethernet cabling (Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6A)
  • Patch panels, patch cables, wall jacks, and terminations
  • Switch ports and PoE output
  • Wireless access points (Wi-Fi coverage, speed, and stability)
  • Network rack organization and labeling
  • End-point performance at computers, phones, printers, cameras, and other devices

Cable Testing & Verification (Are You Really Getting 1 Gig?)

A cable can “work” and still not perform correctly.

We test to confirm your cable run is capable of delivering the speed it should — including verifying:

  • Connection quality from the switch to the wall jack
  • Proper pinout and termination
  • Cable condition and length
  • Weak connections causing speed drop or packet loss
  • Full throughput capability to the end device

If you should be getting 1 Gig at the user’s desk, we’ll help make sure you actually are.

Switch, Port, and PoE Testing

Switch problems can look like internet issues. We can:

  • Test switch ports for proper speed negotiation (10/100/1000)
  • Identify damaged or failing ports
  • Verify VLAN and port settings if needed
  • Check PoE power delivery for access points, cameras, phones, and other devices
  • Recommend repairs or upgrades if equipment is undersized or failing

Wi-Fi Access Point Testing

Wi-Fi issues are usually caused by coverage gaps, interference, or poor access point placement — not “bad internet.”

We can:

  • Test Wi-Fi signal strength and throughput
  • Check access point performance and uplink status
  • Verify proper switch and PoE operation to APs
  • Identify interference or dead zones
  • Recommend better placement or additional APs if needed

Clear Answers & Solutions

Our goal isn’t just to tell you there’s a problem — it’s to pinpoint exactly where the issue is, explain it clearly, and provide solutions.

Whether it’s a bad cable termination, a damaged cable run, a failing switch port, or a Wi-Fi issue, we’ll help you get it fixed fast and get your network back to full performance.
